Shawano County will be starting to work on a broadband plan in order to bring more reliable, affordable, and higher internet speeds to areas here in Shawano County. The WISER survey listed below is from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin in order to understand areas of need. Please take time when you are at home to complete this survey if internet is important to you. If you do not have internet access there is a number you can call to complete the survey over the phone.

Spectrum is installing fiber lines in our Town through a Federal grant, so the Feds lay out exactly where the lines go. Spectrum may be able to come back & install lines in spots that aren’t on the Federal footprint.

Spectrum will let us know once they are ready to start installs and will also send out a mailer to our residents. Roughly 60 days after they start installs to the homes, Spectrum will also have their Direct Sales team go door to door to explain their packages and set up installations.
